Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

The Hospice Income Generation Network is committed to improving Equality, Diversion and Inclusion in all aspects of our work. This year we revised the way in which we selected speakers at our annual conference by using an application process. We promoted the opportunity on social media, emailed our membership and made personal invitations to authors of articles in sector press, as well as to speakers at previous conferences.

Once the application window closed the Trustees of HIGN were invited to score the anonymised applications based on the descriptions provided to create a shortlist. The second step was a smaller group making the final selection taking in to account:

  1. Shortlisting score
  2. Variety of topic
  3. Equality, Diversion and Inclusion
  4. Budget

We feel the process has been as fair, open and transparent as it can be. If you’d like to know more about the process please take a look at our EDI statement which can be downloaded from the About Us page.
