Overall Objectives: • To support Julia’s House Public Fundraising by responding positively to offers of help from the Community and Local Businesses. • To proactively develop community and small business relationships to engage new support. Contribute to developing new campaigns and initiatives. • To represent Julia’s House by giving talks and presentations about the work of the Charity. • To achieve income targets for Community Fundraising and Small Business Fundraising. • To contribute to developing other supporters and other areas of fundraising for Julia’s House as required.

This is an exciting and engaging role, managing a small, well-established Philanthropy Team, where you will have the opportunity to work directly with our top supporters, develop interesting cultivation events and help us reach new supporters across Dorset and Wiltshire. The Philanthropy Team incorporates major donor, mid-value, trust and legacy fundraising. It works closely with public fundraising and events teams. The CEO, Deputy CEO and specific trustees are also actively engaged in managing key relationships.

We are now seeking to recruit an efficient, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Income Development Administrator to provide support within the Fundraising Team. The successful candidate will undertake important administration work related to our weekly lottery, and be responsible for keeping our donor data up to date and accurate, alongside stewarding our incredible supporters, ensuring they receive a high-quality experience.

As the Lottery Fundraiser, you will develop and implement strategies to maximize lottery income for Overgate Hospice. Acting as the main contact for Sterling, you will ensure effective collaboration and adherence to contracts. You will create marketing plans to attract new players and retain existing ones, sharing the impact of their support through storytelling and social media. Additionally, you will enhance the Overgate Hospice Lottery brand, ensure the lottery's presence at all Hospice events, and produce effective marketing materials. You will recruit and manage volunteers to promote the lottery within the community and work with the Fundraising Admin Team to address queries. By connecting with Lottery Fundraisers at other Hospices, you will explore growth opportunities and monitor player numbers and compliance measures. Supporting the Individual Giving Manager, you will develop the annual lottery budget and contribute to other fundraising activities. As part of the Income Generation team, you will share insights and knowledge to enhance overall fundraising efforts.

As the Individual Giving Manager at Overgate Hospice, you will play a pivotal role in driving our individual giving programmes, including in memory donations, lottery, legacy giving, and regular gifts. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with our overall goals, while leading a dedicated team to achieve ambitious income targets. Your leadership will ensure that all direct mail appeals, large-scale raffles, and special initiatives like the Big Build Appeal and ‘Coins for Care’ boxes are managed effectively and inspire our community to support the Hospice. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with the wider fundraising team to maximise income generation and share best practices. With a keen understanding of gambling laws and a commitment to exceptional supporter experiences, you’ll drive continuous improvement and innovation.
